Operations 2006
11 June 2006. A female hillwalker in a well-equipped party of 2 on Sgurr an Fhuarail, slipped on steep grass and sustained a broken ankle. The team evacuated the casualty to the roadside from where she was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
14-15 August 2006. Search for 2 overdue hillwalkers in the Affric area. Assisted by a helicopter of 202 Sqn Royal Air Force from Lossiemouth. Search called off after police received a call from the missing party to report that they did not require assistance.
23 September 2006. A female hillwalker in a well-equipped party of 2 at the end of the Sgurr na Creige ridge north of the Saddle, slipped on very steep ground and fell a considerable distance. She suffered a fatal head injury. The casualty was evacuated to hospital by a helicopter of 202 Sqn Royal Air Force from Lossiemouth.
